Snehalaya, which means “A Home of Love” is situated in Wagholi which is about 20 kms from Pune City. Snehalaya is run by Snehalaya Education Society. It is started in the year 1996. The purpose of this Institute is to care for, educate and rehabilitate Children with Cerebral Palsy and Multiple disabilities. Snehalaya has been doing excellent job in this field for the past 25 years for Orphan as well as underprivileged children.
Snehalaya special School:It is up to Standard X11th with NIOS syllabus. The Students here have access to various facilities like physiotherapy, Speech therapy, Occupational therapy and pre-vocational training.
Snehalaya Rehabilitation Center: This Center has spacious workshops to give job training to differently abled above the age of 18. Our skilled Staff trains these students in various skills like Computers, Printing, candle making and making of various handicraft items.
The Vision of Snehalaya is“PROMOTION OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION AND ALLROUND DEVELOPMENT FOR PERSONS WITH CEREBRAL PALSY AND MULTIPLE DISABILITIES FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING MAINLY FOCUSING ON THE POOR”. Snehalaya is an interfaith and a caste-free NGO duly registered under the Indian laws.
